There are some rugs made by weavers in Afshar who were heavily influenced by the nearby weaving center of Kerman. Likely crafted in a workshop in the region, this Afshar shows Kerman’s influence by the vase, floral, & bird motifs. A lovely design, this rug can be laid in either direction; there is a second vase stemming from the other end of the rug. The color palette is a soft terra-cotta, midnight blue, teal, caramel, neutral wool, & pale butter. Small enough to be considered a scatter rug, this rug will add some whimsy &/or elegance to any space. Areas of natural wear, this beauty has loads of life yet to give.
